Our Ludmilla Iljinitschnaja has Departed us for God’s Eternity

On Pentecost Sunday, May 20, 2018 Ludmilla Pedjasch passed away at the age of 76. We have lost one of our esteemed co-workers at St. Paul’s and a very valuable and lovely person who will be missed by everyone.

Her three greatest qualities:
- 1) Her responsibility and good sense.
- 2) Her knowledge of the construction industry and her ability and talents to come along with simple workers
- 3) Her zest for life (How often she and I danced together)

Ludmilla joined us in 1997. We had gotten St. Paul’s back and Luidmilla assumed a leadership position and energetically worked to complete the restoration of St. Paul’s. That St. Paul’s is so beautiful again is due in the greatest part to her work.

Ludmilla was an important person on the Deanery Council. She was a person the dean could always count on for support. (see photo)

Ludmilla made sure that at every worship service that we remembered the children with birthday’s and prayed for them

Ludmilla was a blessing for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

I would like to quote three Bible passages to commemorate her life and death.

Genesis 12:2 I will bless you and you shall be a blessing.

Luke 2:29: You now dismiss your servant in peace.

Romans 14:8: If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
